Description

The Rage 4 WSP-TRA clutch is the next gen of high performance CVT clutching.

  It has been totally redesigned with big power, high revving 3 cyl motor in mind. 

This clutch features a "Wide Spread Pin" or WSP style spider. It moves the weight circle to a larger diameter to offer more belt grip with lighter weights resulting is a clutch that will rev up faster, handle more power and have great durability on the track or trail.

  This 4 arm clutch is ideal for applications for the 350hp to 500hp range. It bridges the gap between the three arm and HD versions of the clutch.

Testing found huge gains when drag racing with our newly released "Hump Back Raised Notch" cam arms. However, the clutch was designed  to still be very versatile in fact you can still run all of the original designed STM cam arms and most aftermarket cam arms that utilize a 5/16" pin.

The clutch includes belt and spider shims, so you can change your belt to sheave clearance and cam arm to roller clearance independently.

 Testing with the Sidewinder/Thundercat platform has found that running an 8.5" diameter primary and 11.25" diameter STM Gen 1 secondary with the XS-811 belt offers the most efficiency and also allows for 17% overdrive thru the clutches so you can run a lower gear ratio and still achieve the same top speed, resulting is cooler temps and longer belt life in both racing and trail applications.

This clutch uses all TRA (Ski-doo) style or PS (Polaris/Arctic Cat) style springs.

The larger clutches fit under the body panel without modification.

We can also setup the clutch to use the stock belt and stock secondary.

Cam arms and springs are sold separately.

The drag racing tied bearing brace is also available for this primary, but can only be used with solid front motor mounts and the Gen 1 STM tuner secondary. Body panels will need to be cut to fit the brace.

This clutch will also work with the older Yamaha Nytro, and Apex/RX-1 sleds. 

Break down tools not included to change shims.
