New improved two-way bearing design. The main shaft bearing is now smaller with a 47mm outside diameter allowing a lower initial takeoff ratio than our past design. Allows tighter belt deflection and smoother transmission shifting.
An affordable replacement for the stock primary clutch. Complete billet design that out performs the existing primary. Using our adjustable SUPERTIP CAM ARMS with the Rage 3 is the perfect recipe for your stock or modified Outlander. To take full advantage of an optimal setup, we suggest using the Tuner driven 302BATVD along with the Rage 3. These STM clutches will fit under the stock cover with no interference. The Rage 3 is capable of using most cam arms that are available on the market. We have incorporated a pin size option for every clutch we make by providing a pin conversion design in the movable sheave. Pin conversions are available in 1/4" and 5/16" diameter. We incorporate a fixed pin design that pivots the cam arm between two bushings and attaches the cam arm to the pin providing more durability to the cam arm pivot points. All parts are replaceable and stocked.

The cover is designed to use Polaris ATV springs which provides a wide variety of spring rates to choose from.
We offer the Rage 3 calibrated with a spring and set of our own adjustable SUPERTIP CAM ARMS.
Comes with a belt removal tool and bolt for installation.
Each clutch is assembled and setup to run the BRP OEM belt.
We have tested setups for your particular application. You bolt it on and GO!
DUE TO OFFSET DIFFERENCES THE RAGE PRIMARY HAS TO BE USED WITH THE 302BATVD SHORT POST TUNER DRIVEN AND THE LONG POST WITH THE STOCK PRIMARY.
Item numbers 1001649 Primary Clutch Vice Holding Tool, 1001653 STM Spider Nut 1-7/16" Extra Deep Socket 6 Point and either 1001020 STM Rage 3 & 6 Spider Tool, or 1001032 STM Rage 4 & 8 Spider Tool (depending rage number) is required when removing or installing the spider. Works on all STM primary clutches. Sold separately.
When ordering use this guide to help you pick options
Choose Rage # - This is what rage clutch you want, Rage 3 your basic replacement clutch, Rage 6 is most popular dual stage clutch that will handle most applications even low boost turbo, Rage 8 is for higher HP applications that require heavy cam arms.
Conversion Kit - You will choose the 1001321 when running the STM weights.
Choose a spring - The most popular spring is the PATV9 gold that will get you engagement around 2000 to 2500 RPM the red, orange, white, and purple will have a higher engagement with purple being the highest. The bright green is a lower rate spring will engage around 1500 RPM
Choose weights – The most common weight for the Can-Am line will be the 45ATVX for the Rage 3 & 6.
Choose Engine HP – Let us know about your bike - Is it naturally aspirated/stock? Big Bore Kit? Does it have a turbo? If you choose turbo-how much boost? This gives us an idea of how to set the weights up. KEEP IN MIND WE CAN ONLY GET YOU CLOSE WITH WEIGHT SET UP. Everyone's riding style is different so it’s up to the customer to do the fine tuning!
